09 Feb LVNWWDA undertakes Hygiene and Sanitation awareness campaigns in Bungoma County

Maintaining hygienic conditions in our environment and proper hand washing are critical for a healthy life.

Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency engaged the students and community of Namuninge Primary School in Bumula Constituency,  Bungoma County for a Hygiene and Sanitation awareness campaign in order to encourage safe water use, proper use of sanitation facilities and general hygienic practices as a way of preventing diseases including Covid 19.

The campaigns were carried out on the 18th January, 2021 jointly with the School administration, the Public Health officials, the County Government of Bungoma and the neighbouring communities.

Namuninge Primary School is one of the beneficiaries of the Agency’s rural community Water supply programmes which targetpublic institutions mainly Schools and Hospitals.
