Lvnwwda Welcomes New Staff

As an agency, we are experiencing a great transformation stemming from implementation of the New strategic plan 2020-2024. The restructuring is aimed at improving service delivery and ensuring the agency achieves its mission: To develop, maintain and manage infrastructure for sustainable water and sanitation services in our area of jurisdiction.
LVNWWDA began the FY 2022/2023 with new appointments ensuing a competitive and rigorous interview process. The agency has happily welcomed 4 new staff members: CPA. Michael Wasika-Manager Internal Audit & Risk Management, Mrs. Linet Wasaba- Manager Human Resource and Administration, Mr. Tom Musungu- Manager Corporate Communications Division and Ms. Wislen Chepkemboi- Legal Officer.
To ensure a smooth and efficient adjustment process for the new staff, LVNWWDA carried out a thorough induction program aimed at informing the new staff members on different aspects and operations of the agency. As part of the orientation program, the new LVNWWDA staff were taken on a tour around the agency. Departmental heads explained their roles and expectations to our new staff.
They received a full background of the agency, operational procedures, theoretically and practically. The aim of the program was to seamlessly integrate the individuals into their new working environment so that they may efficiently and effectively contribute towards enabling the agency achieve its mandate.

Manager Audit & Risk Management Division


CPA. Michael Wasika is a professional accountant registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). In his remarks, he noted that his appointment aims at improving the internal audit process and align the division’s goals with the overall objective of the agency. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to join LVNWWDA fraternity and promised to corporate in quality service delivery with all departments. His personal motto is: Integrity in Verifying Compliance and Partnering for Improvement.

Manager, Human Resource & Administration Division.

Ms. Linet Wasaba is an organized, discreet, extroverted, detail oriented and very objective human resource professional. She comes to us from Kakamega county water and sanitation company (KACWASCO) where she has worked for over five years. In her remarks, she appreciated the agency for the opportunity to offer her skills and competencies in enabling the agency achieve its mandate. She is humbled to receive a warm welcome from the leadership of the agency and she looks forward to efficiently utilizing the agency’s human resource available to achieve the overall objectives of the agency. She noted that her appointment aims at impacting the agency by improving its performance which calls for collaboration and coordination from the entire family of LVNWWDA. Her motto is: Employee is key.

Manager, Corporate Communications Division

Mr. Tom Musungu comes to us with a ton of expertise having worked as Head of Commercial and Corporates Affairs in Nzoia Water and Sanitation Company and National Media Group respectively. He has extensive experience in brand management, events management, and corporate communication among others. In his remarks, he applauded LVNWWDA for providing conducive working environment for its staff. He looks forward to embedding the agency’s brand among the citizenships we serve and strengthening the agency’s interactions with stakeholders. His motto is: Information is Power.

Legal officer

Ms. Winslen Chepkemboi is a competent lawyer who is goal oriented and appreciates team work. She is delighted to be part of LVNWWDA family and looks forward to growing her carrier through mentorship. She is passionate about public servants, building creativity and serving the public. She promises to offer her skills and competencies to enable the agency achieve its mandate. Her motto is: Creative solutions for legal problems.
