The Chairman of Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency Hon. Julius Bakasa Wasike led a delegation of the Board of Directors and top management of the Agency for a week long inspection of various projects currently under implementation by the Agency across its coverage area.

The visits which took place from 15th to 19th February, 2021 were meant to enable the Board of Directors and the Top Management inspect the progress status of the various ongoing projects within the Agency. Some of the projects visited include The Acacia Community Water Supply Project, a cross boarder project which serves both the Kakamega and Uasin Gishu Counties; The Matunda Primary School Water project which was constructed with funds from the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation under the Water for Schools programme. The Matunda Primary School Water project is complete and currently serves the Matunda Primary and Secondary Schools and the neighbouring Communities. Other projects visited include Leseru Community Water Project which serves several institutions within the greater Leseru Community including the neighbouring homesteads. The Leseru Community Water project is earmarked for handing over to the County Government of Uasin Gishu anytime soon.

The other major projects visited include Kipkaren Dam Water Supply Project at the boarder of Uasin Gishu and Nandi Counties. This Project has been funded by the African Development Bank to the tune of over Kshs. 1.8Billion and was projected to be completed mid this year 2021, but this would not be possible due to external challenges including the Covid 19 outbreak.
