LVNWWDA gets KShs. 160m for Rural Schools projects

Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency is set to get Kshs.160 Million funding from Church of Christ of the Latter Days for Water for Rural Schools in Kakamega County.

The project which is planned to be implemented in the next one year is targeting drilling and equipping 20 boreholes to benefit over 20,000 pupils in 20 Schools in the rural areas of Kakamega County and its environs.

In addition, under the project more than 500 households neighbouring the beneficiary Schools will also access the supply. This will see over additional 10,000 people benefiting.

A team from the Church, Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency and the Water Department of Kakamega County on 10th March, 2020 held the final discussions on the funding and implementation modalities of the project
